Choosing a wig that will suit you is quite a difficult task because there are massive choices to choose from. In fact, it will even be more difficult if you do not have any idea on the different types of wigs. This is because not all wigs are the same and each type of wig may have its own strong points over the other. Below is a list of different types of wigs:

Human Hair Wigs – this type of wig is made from real hair from people of different race. The bottom portion is often made from different skin like material such as silk, monofilament, thin polyurethane, or silicone. Some parts of the wig such as on the front, ear tabs, and nape will be made with non-slip material or sometimes with transparent tape so that the wig will not slip off from its place.

Vacuum Wigs – this type of wig are very costly which is mostly due to its manufacturing procedure. The process in making this type of wig starts by taking a plastic mould of the person’s head who’s ordering the wig. They do this to acquire the exact size of the head in order to produce a perfect fit. Vacuum wigs have silicon base surfaces with European hair directly injected into the silicone-based material. These wigs are intended mostly for people who are experience total hair loss. Their suction element and perfect fit gives them a natural looking appearance.

Synthetic Wigs – these types of wigs are made by sewing synthetic fibers together to form the base. A skin-like material is then added at the crown, the top, and the front part so that the wig looks more natural.
